Job description

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Producer, your responsibilities will span from pre-production planning to post-production. You’ll collaborate with various teams, manage budgets, hire and supervise crew members, negotiate contracts, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.


Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Development:


    • Selecting Projects: Identify and evaluate potential software projects for production.
    • Script Evaluation: Review project scripts, assess feasibility, and provide input on creative aspects.
    • Budgeting: Collaborate with stakeholders to create and manage project budgets.
  2. Crew and Talent Management:


    • Hiring: Recruit and hire directors, developers, designers, and other team members.
    • Crew Oversight: Supervise crew members during production, ensuring smooth collaboration.
    • Talent Selection: Participate in casting decisions and collaborate with state or film crews.
  3. Production Coordination:


    • Scheduling: Create and maintain production schedules, ensuring timely execution.
    • Logistics: Coordinate logistics such as location scouting, equipment rentals, and travel arrangements.
    • Risk Management: Anticipate and address potential production challenges.
  4. Financial Management:


    • Budget Creation: Develop detailed production budgets, considering all expenses.
    • Cost Control: Monitor expenses throughout the production process.
    • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors, crew, and talent.
  5. Creative Input and Quality Assurance:


    • Script Editing: Collaborate with writers and developers to refine project scripts.
    • Performance Oversight: Ensure high-quality performances from talent and crew.
    • Post-Production Review: Review edited content, special effects, and overall quality.
  6. Promotion and Distribution:


    • Festival Submissions: Submit finished projects to film festivals and other relevant events.
    • Marketing and PR: Work with marketing teams to promote completed software products.
    • Distribution Strategy: Plan distribution channels and release strategies.

Job requirements

Skills and Qualities:

  • Familiarity with industry-standard software for video editing, sound mixing, and visual effects (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer).
  • Understanding of color grading, compositing, and motion graphics.
  • Knowledge of digital cinematography, camera equipment, and lighting techniques.
  • Experience with green screen technology and virtual sets.
  • Basic understanding of audio recording, mixing, and post-production.
  • Ability to work with sound designers and composers to create impactful audio.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello) to track production timelines, tasks, and resources.
  • Awareness of copyright laws, licensing agreements, and intellectual property rights.
  • Ability to handle contracts, permissions, and clearances.
  • The film industry is dynamic, and unexpected challenges arise. Being adaptable and resourceful is crucial.
