Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Content Strategist for our client in the banking sector on a 6-month hybrid contract with a possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in content development, brand alignment, and digital storytelling across web, social, and email channels. This is a hands-on role requiring strong writing skills, strategic thinking, and an understanding of performance metrics to guide content decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that support business and marketing objectives

  • Create and optimize content for web, social media, and email campaigns

  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines

  • Use analytics and performance data to refine and improve content effectiveness

  • Maintain and manage editorial calendars to ensure timely content delivery

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, developers, and marketing teams to support campaign execution

6 months duration

Location: Toronto, Canada ( Hybrid / occasionally working on site)

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or editorial roles

  • Strong knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager) and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Moz, Google Analytics)

  • Proven experience managing editorial calendars and analyzing content performance

  • Skilled in creating multi-format content (e.g., articles, email, social copy, web pages)

  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills with strong attention to detail

Bonus Skills:

  • Basic design/editing capabilities using tools like Canva or Figma

  • Experience working in regulated industries or with financial services clients
