Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Analyst to support a public sector client on a high-impact project. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, experience in Agile environments, and the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. You’ll be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, managing project documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements

  • Create user stories and maintain the product backlog

  • Support Agile ceremonies and ensure requirements are well-defined and testable

  • Document decisions, action items, risks, and issues across meetings and project activities

  • Organize and maintain documentation using Confluence/wiki and SharePoint

  • Prepare and deliver status reports and executive summaries

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team

  • Support Project Manager with risk tracking, reporting, and meeting facilitation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex, fast-paced environments

  • Proven experience working on Agile teams (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)

  • Strong experience with user story creation, backlog grooming, and Agile tools (e.g., JIRA)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills; experience managing project documentation in Confluence and SharePoint

  • Demonstrated ability to capture and track action items, decisions, and project risks

  • Experience in public sector or government projects is a strong asset

  • Familiarity with status reporting and executive briefings

Bonus Skills

  • Knowledge of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) or health data standards

  • Exposure to healthcare or health IT systems

  • Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent)
