Job description
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Copy writter with a strong background craft compelling, clear, and persuasive copy that resonates with our target audience. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of artistic flair, strategic thinking, and technical understanding, collaborating with designers, PR professionals, and other team members, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our brand voice and messaging.
This is a remote position - candidates located in Toronto, Canada GTA (available for client meetings)
Responsibilities:
- Writing and Creativity:
- Create clear, attractive copy for various mediums, including ads, blog posts, newsletters, and social media.
- Develop a distinct voice that aligns with our brand identity.
- Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with designers, PR specialists, and other professionals.
- Collaborate on both large-scale (e.g., email campaigns) and small-scale (e.g., landing pages) marketing projects.
- Research and Interviews:
- Conduct thorough research to gather insights.
- Interview subject matter experts to extract relevant information.
- Editing and Proofreading:
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all copy.
- Edit and proofread content as needed.
- SEO Optimization:
- Apply SEO principles to maximize the reach of our copy.
- Optimize content for search engines.
- Content Strategy:
- Understand online content strategy and creation.
- Craft copy that aligns with our overall marketing goals.
- Image Sourcing:
- Source relevant images and other visual content to complement the copy.
Job requirements
Skills and Qualities:
- Advanced proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Familiarity with prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Understanding of responsive design principles for web and mobile.
- Ability to collaborate with UX designers and developers to create seamless user experiences.
- Familiarity with user research methodologies, wire framing, and usability testing.
- Experience creating compelling data visualizations for infographics, dashboards, or reports.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaborative design workflows.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, participating in sprints, and adapting to changing project requirements.
